Quote of My Day

It seems to me that in the last year, I have grown to love myself more than I ever have. I am 29 years old. I have found so many of my flaws to be a downfall, in the past. Looking at them today, I see a stairway to the woman I've become. It has taken me this long to finally love who I am. I most certainly don't have that kind of time to convince someone else. 

"Ain't nobody got time for that!"

The Trip to End All Trips

They say to travel as much as you can while you're young. To make memories. Whoever "they" are, I think they're right! I travel a lot... It's no secret. I am even planning all of my trips out for 2017! This year I went on 5 different vacations. A weekend in DC, a long weekend in Clearwater, a week in Del Ray/Clearwater, a weekend in Nashville, and this last one has topped them all off. I Don't Wanna Grow Up

Have you ever checked your credit score?  Have you ever decided to stay in on a Saturday night with a married couple and their kid? Is this what happens as we get older? Saturday night my friend and I both decided to stay in and hang out with six year olds and she asks me, "What is 35 going to be like?"  I could only laugh. We're on the last leg of our twenties. In the final stretch now! In the last few years I have really found myself making the "grown up" decisions to stay in on weekends, only have one glass of wine on a Friday night so my entire weekend isn't ruined by a massive hangover, or one of my faves, offering to watch the children of my coupled up friends so they can get out for a bit. That doesn't mean I haven't done  anything  in the last few years. Never Forget

Not one soul will forget where they were in 2001 when our nation stood still . Me, I was in my 10th grade history class with Mr. Jackson. I remember him being so sad and angry. His facial expression said so much back then that I, at 15, just could not understand. I remember watching the news the whole day with my best friends, afraid of another attack. Little did I know the lives of my generation would never be the same again! September 11, 2001 will forever break my heart. Because of this image... This is what I watched that morning. The second plane hit one of the twin towers.  I can't even describe the chills I get and the tears that flood my eyes just seeing this image! This image though: Is why every life matters. With all the garbage going around these days about people thinking certain lives don't matter, this image shows it all. We came together to protect and to aid one another.
