The Trip to End All Trips

They say to travel as much as you can while you're young. To make memories. Whoever "they" are, I think they're right!

I travel a lot... It's no secret. I am even planning all of my trips out for 2017! This year I went on 5 different vacations. A weekend in DC, a long weekend in Clearwater, a week in Del Ray/Clearwater, a weekend in Nashville, and this last one has topped them all off. It was the perfect way to end my traveling for the year (maybe)! 

I started Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas, to celebrate my 30th birthday, with 3 friends that I can't begin to express my gratitude for! With Friday came a ton of hype and excitement for the weekend ahead... It was a crazy weekend!... Now we all know that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so I will simply say things that no one will understand, except the 4 people present, and I will be satisfied having told you my story... Sort of!... 

It all started with Galliano, Esther, take your teeth out, dick dancing, Nutella, Australia, dinner with a view, Marquee, VIP, strip tease pool jumping, twinning, suite life, Bebe, cheesecake, French, Lithuanian, the wedding that almost was, Paris, and magic. 

Got it?... No?... Too bad!

As I rode passenger side to my childhood friend back to Cali I felt very reminiscent of the short period of time that I lived in Vegas. I had seen places I previously worked and lived and it made me thankful to be where I am in life now. Living there wasn't easy nor was it glamorous. It was fun for a 21 year old and leaving there was one of the best decisions I was forced to make! It was the first time in 9 years I had been to Vegas. I think a quick weekend is all I can handle when and if I return.

Once in Oceanside, California, a place I've never been before, I got to see another friend from home that lives there too. It was a large toss up between which part of Cali was my favorite, the beach or Disneyland. When discussing the options of what to do while visiting, Disneyland was mentioned and going somewhere I have never been, let alone one of the happiest places on Earth, I immediately said that was what we would be doing on the day of my 30th birthday! 

Four adults walking around laughing like hyenas all day, riding all the rides, was exactly how my birthday needed to be spent. I wore my pink Minnie ears and a birthday button all day with pride, I don't remember the last time I had a perfect birthday. But they do get better every year so this one just sets the bar that much higher!

I spent a couple days at the beach, one at Disney, numerous hours with one of my closest childhood friends, time well spent with her roommates having drinks and laughing till it hurt over terrible accents, eating delicious food is always a highlight, and all of this has only made me more happy and thankful for what I have. I'm so lucky I got to go where I have this year. 

Just wait till next year!...
